1. Meg thought that everything was going to be all right once she found her father, but it wasn’t. Why not? What would you do if you were Meg?
2. What is " IT," and what does " IT" do on Camazotz?
3. Why was Meg so disappointed in her father? Do you agree with her feelings and actions towards him? Why or why not?
1.) Everthing wasn't all right because Meg wasn't with her Father the way she believed it would. If I were Meg, I would accept that my Father was back and try my best to keep it that way.
ReplyDelete2.) IT is the main brain of Camazotz and IT has the power to make the planet of Camazotz move talk and do everything at the same time to make things move smoothly.
1. Meg thought that everything was going to be all right once she found her father, but it wasn’t. Why not? What would you do if you were Meg?
ReplyDeleteThinking that everything was going to get better was the wrong way to think. Things just ended up getting worse. They finally discovered what IT was, IT was a brain. It was one of the most repulsing things Meg ever saw. They were still trying to figure out how to break the curse of Charles Wallace and IT had them under control. If I were Meg, I wouldn’t know what to do. I would be so frustrated because you never knew what was going to happen next.
2. What is " IT," and what does " IT" do on Camazotz?
In chapter 9, IT is actually a brain. IT is a disembodied, oversized brain. On Camazotz, IT controls the people. IT puts the people under a spell in which they do whatever IT tells them to. That’s why Camazotz is such a peaceful and organized place. The people can’t do what they want, but what IT wants.
How would you feel after seeing IT?
I would feel so terrified that this huge brain could try to control me and I wouldn't want to be in the same room as it for a long time. I would want to go to home and leave the planet.
Delete1. Things ended up getting worse. After Mr. Murry was rescued, they discovered what IT was and they tried to figure out how to break Charles Wallace's curse. Meg almost fell under the curse, but she regained control. If I were Meg, I wouldn't have followed Charles Wallace. I would have just taken my father and Calvin and tried to find a way to get off Camazotz.
ReplyDelete2. IT is a huge brain that tries to control people on Camazotz.
3. Meg lashes out at her father when he tells her that he is a fallible human being. No, I don't agree with Meg's feelings because everyone including her makes mistakes.
2. What is " IT," and what does " IT" do on Camazotz?
ReplyDeleteIT is physically a giant brain. Looking at it is repulsive and disgusting. IT controls everyone on Camazotz, that's why Camazotz is so synchronized and in perfect order. The people on Camazotz don't think for themselves...IT thinks for them. IT is like the supreme ruler of Camazotz and everyone does what IT wants. Everyone on Camazotz is the same and equal, they all have the same intelligence. That is why IT is located at the CENTRAL Central Intelligence Building. IT is everyone on Camazotz's intelligence.
3. Why was Meg so disappointed in her father? Do you agree with her feelings and actions towards him? Why or why not?
Meg was so disappointed in her father because she expected that when she found him he would be able to fix everything and that everything would be okay. When he isn't able to do that she is disappointed.
I do not agree with her feelings and actions towards him because she should appreciate the fact that she found him. She didn't have to find him. Meg is stubborn so she isn't taking into consideration that the IT is more powerful and how hard it would be to make everything her definition of "okay". He isn't Mrs. Who, Mrs. Which, or Mrs. Whatsit, he is just a human unlike them. He doesn't have all supreme power where everything can be done the way he wants it like IT, and Meg is failing to realize that. Above all, I don't agree with her actions and feelings towards him because he is trying the best that he could. She is upset that Charles Wallace was left with IT, but not seeing that he was only helping her. Meg needs to look at the positive and appreciate the things he is and can do instead of dwelling on the negative.
2. IT is the Dark Thing that governs Camazots. IT is something evil that can't be explained.
ReplyDelete3. Meg was so disappointed in her father because she thought that when her father came home they would be one big happy family. But Mr. Murry couldn't have just come home and go right back to the way things used to be. I do agree with her feelings because after being away from her father so long she probably didn't notice how happy she was that he was okay. If I was her I probably wouldn't have given things a chance because it's too long to be away from someone you love.
2. IT is a brain and IT job is to make everything perfect. IT tries to consume you from the inside to out, but not like eating. IT just takes control of your mindset and turns you into what IT thinks is perfect.
ReplyDelete3.She was dissapointed in her father because she thought that everything we be okay and the pressure would be lifted off of her shoulders. She wanted to hope that her dad knew what to do. Instead, he was not that sure the next step either. So everybody has to try and do something.I do not agree with Meg because she expects her father to have known everything and he was imprisoned for a long period of time.
2. What is “IT," and what does” IT" do on Camazotz?
ReplyDeleteIt is the main thing controlling Camazotz. All the actions of the children and the movement are watch and controlled by IT.
3. Why was Meg so disappointed in her father? Do you agree with her feelings and actions towards him? Why or why not?
Meg was disappointed in her father because when they recused him she thought he could fix the whole situation. He told her that he couldn’t and she got very angry. No but I can see why she could be upset. She could be upset that she did all that work to find him and when they find him and she thinks she could make all this go away. Her hopes were gone when he said that he couldn’t fix the situation.
What is " IT," and what does " IT" do on Camazotz?
ReplyDeleteIT is really a gigantic brain that appears to look disgusting and nasty. IT has taken control of every living being on Camazitz, and they all operate the same because of IT. IT is like the main brain for all of the people and things, as it controls them all. If it were to be destroyed then nothing it controlled would survive.
Why was Meg so disappointed in her father? Do you agree with her feelings and actions towards him? Why or why not?
Meg is dissapointed because she wanted her father to do everything so that it would all be simple and easy. She wanted to just find him and have everything be ok. I disagerr with her actions because this clearly was a large problem and her father had just been captured for years. She shouldnt have been angry, a nd instead she should have tried to help right away however she could and cooperate.
What is " IT," and what does " IT" do on Camazotz?
ReplyDeleteit is a disembody oversize brain. it makes camazotz on point and perfect which means its a total nightmare to live on that planet.
Why was Meg so disappointed in her father? Do you agree with her feelings and actions towards him? Why or why not? when found her father she was disappointed because she thought that everything would be normal and back to how it was on earth. No, because people do many things like mistake or just screw something up.meg just has to be glad she found him because, what would she do in camazotz if she was just there and didn`t her dad like was suppose to.
1) It wasn't okay when her father came back because she didn't get to spend as much as time with him that she imagined.
ReplyDelete2)This time IT isn't a force or spirit like The Dark Thing, IT is a brain. This brain tries to control others meaning every human on planet Camazots.
3)She is diapionted because she expected that when her father got home her life would be normal and when it wasn't she took it out on her father, but i don't agree with her feelings because just because something doesn't go her way doesn't mean she gets to take it out on others.
2. What is " IT," and what does " IT" do on Camazotz?
ReplyDelete"IT" is a brain that controls Camozotz and it keeps everyone in rhythm . If someone fails to keep in rhythm, it will be taken to "IT".
IT took over Camazotz and kept it into a synchronized rythm. When someone fell in it would have them taken to IT.
