  3. Jerusalem A.
    4. I can connect most to Charles Wallace. Even though we are different ages, I understand what it's like to be smart and a great personality but misunderstood and seen as weird.

At the end of chapter 2 is when meg and charles meet up with Calvin. Charles starts to get jelous of him. And they start to talk about some things and Ms. What'sit name.

  6. 1. Meg feels like she's a monster and no one loves her accept her fater and mother. Yes, like Scarlett her parents got a divorce and she felt that no oone loved so that's why she had alot of hate in her.

2.Mrs.Whatsit has gray hair, round bright eyes, a round nose, and lips shaped like an apple.

    3. In chapter 2 I wonder if Meg wiil go out with the guy she and Charles Wallace met in the woods.

    4. I can relate to Charles Wallace because we 're both really smart but when get around people we act like we're not smart.when we're really are.

    5. One event that seemed strange to me was when Mrs.Whatsit told all those sheets out of one of the neigbors house.

    1. Meg feels depressed abd like a stupid person.
Icannot relate to her. I can connect her feelings to Percy Jackson in the titans curse when he let a freind get herself killed.

  10. I like that you are all commenting already! I want to give you a few reminders. You don't have to answer ALL of the questions. You need to proofread what you write! And try to add more details. Talk to each other via your comments. Like what Nigel said: I agree with Demetris...Tell us why, Nigel! And Demetris, what did you mean by "deeper"? And Enia, why did you think the sheet-stealing was strange? Nigel, why do you still like it? Mike C, don't give a summary of the end of ch 2. Tell us what you thought of it.
BUT, thanks for your comments! We will discuss tomorrow!

  11. 1. Meg feels that she is an ugly monserwho causes trouble. She considers herself very odd from the kids at school.I can connect Meg to her little brother Charles because they're both different from other kids and they both try to be something they're not. For example,Meg's little brother Charles is smarer than the average five-year-old, but acts dumb so people won't hate him for being different. Meg wants to be as pretty as her mom but can't right now.

  12. I agree with you Demetris, I do like the second chapter better.I like it becauseit really keeps you in suspense.Every time I read something new,I can't stop guessing what will happen next. For example, Mrs.Who gives Meg and Charles a clue that their father is in trouble. You don't know what happens until you keep reading. That's why I love this book, you never know what's going to happen next.

  13. I think Meg feels that she isn't important because she always talks about how unimportant she is. I also think she feels bad about herself and part of it might be because her father was gone.I also think that meg is depressed abouy herself.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I also agree with demetris because I think chapter two did get a lot deeper than chapter one. It also had a lot of emotions.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I can also connect Meg to her brother Charles because they are different that everyone else. They also act different than other people. I also think it might be strange that a girl would have to live in the attic that isn't very safe and old. I think she should have her own room or share on with her younger brothers.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I also agree with serenity that meg felt unimportant because she always say that no one doesn't appreciate her, she is ugly, and she is not important to anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  17. PROOFREAD!
Why do you think Meg feels unimportant? What do we know about her life that could have led her to have low self-esteem?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Enough people have said that they agree with Demetris. Let's move on from that thread. Post a new thought. Also, it is fine to agree, but you need to add more to the discussion. You should include details with your opinions. Saying, "Chapter 2 is deeper," doesn't mean anything. Nor does it tell me if you read and understand the book. Look at Kai's comments as good examples, also.
That being said, you are doing a good job, and I'm excited that so many of you are reading and enjoying the book!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I have a question. Do you think Meg is falling in love with Calvin in chapter 2 or is he doing the same?

    Enia G.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I agree with Kai because if you're Charles you wouldn't want to be teased by other children just because you're smarter than them. So you'll act dumb so they would feel smarter than him.

    ReplyDelete
  21. 3. The ending of the chapter makes me wonder what really happend to meg's dad.I also wonder how Mrs.Who knows all this information in the first place.Like I said before, this book just keeps you guessing whay will happen next.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I connect with Meg the most because she know she isn't just like evryone else.

    ReplyDelete
  23. The reason why i think meg feels unimportant is,because low attention on her behalf.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @Serenity....... I agree that Meg really shouldn't stay in the attic where it is pretty isolated and old.

    ReplyDelete
  25. 3. The end of chapter 2 made me wonder what really happend to Meg's dad.I also wondered why Mrs. Who knew Meg's dad was in trouble in the first place. Like I said before, this book just keeps you guessing waht will happen next.

    ReplyDelete
  26. What we know about her life that could have led her to have low self-esteem is the fact that everyone is giving the idea that she is unimportant.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I completely agree with Nigel on this being a REALLY GOOD BOOK!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I completely agree with Nigel and Qaquise about this being a good book because it really draws you end. But,personally, I think that Ms. Whatsit sounds like she is up to no good but I haven't read further.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Jerusalem, I totally agree! I think the same thing. Something about her just isn't normal. But then again, what does "normal" mean anyhow?

    ReplyDelete
  30. I think Meg feels like she isn't like everybody else because she stands out like a red flower in a field of white flowers. I can connect to her because when I started going to PSM I stood out because I was mixed with Mexican.

    ReplyDelete
  31. @.... Dyamond i agree that she stood out from other people.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Some of the events and behavior that I believed was confusing was when Ms. Whatsit said something to Mrs. Murry and Mrs. Murry responded looking very upset with her. I wondered what Ms. Whatsit said that made Mrs. Murry so angery.

I agree with Jerusalem. I am more like Charles Wallace because I am smart, but most people would tease me because of how smart I am. I would rather be called "smart" than something else.

I would like to ask a question. Do you think Mrs. Murry would be willing to let Ms. Whatsit back in or and actually thief or tramp? Explain.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I have a question... I don't why Meg thought she stood out from everybody else I mean know everyone's different in their own way but i think she seems a little normal

    ReplyDelete
  34. Michael C.

I agree to Ms. Whatsitname has grey hair and a puckered mouth like autumn apples. That's whaat it sounds like in the book.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Michael C.

I think at the end of chapter two akes me wonder is if Calvin would join Meg and Charle on there trip to another dimension. As I read the story and as it gets deeper, I wonder would it stop doing that as the story goes on.

  36. 4. I can relate to Denny or Sandy because I like to rough house and I am good athletics games.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think this is a good book because i read a little more of it till probaly chapter 6 and it`s a good book.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Aaron,

The end of chapter 2 makes me wonder what there gonna do about Mrs.Whatsit stealing the sheets

    ReplyDelete
  39. Aaron

I agree with michael because they know each other well

  40. Vaughn K.
    1. Meg feels very lonely and also feels like she doesn't like her life. I can relate to her because my little brother is always trying to sneak in my room and wake me up at night on school days.

2.I think Mrs. Whatsit is very old with grey hair. I also think she is very creepy and probaly has many wrinkles(Im not trying to be mean or disrespectful).

    3. In the next chapter will the guy she met in the woods make her feel a little more respect for herself.

    4. I can connect to Calvin because his mind takes him places. When something pops up in my mine and I listen to it usualy soomething wierd happens just like Calvin when he went to the forest.

    5. An event that was realy strange to me was that when Mrs. Whatsit showed up at Meg's house. Mrs. Whatsit was acting very strange to me and just seems like a strange person.

Comment: I agree with Jerusalum about Mrs. Whatsit sounds like shes up to no good because like I said Mrs. Whatsit is a very strange person.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I have a question- What makes Meg thinks she's unwanted and feel so insecure??

    ReplyDelete
  42. Brennan Wamble

I think i can relate to Charles because I have two brothers. One is older and the other is younger than me. I referred as the dumb baby brother from my older sibling. Now I know he is playing but sometimes I do feel like the dumb one.
I also agree with demetris that chapter 2 gets deeper into the story. I cant wait to start reading the next chapter.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hey,
    1. I think that Meg thinks of hers elf as a delinquint, and sometimes I can relate to her because, you get frustrated, and people try to compare you to your parents

    ReplyDelete
  44. 2. I don't know why, but I imagine Mrs. Whatsit as a cranky older lady.

    ReplyDelete
  45. 3. I agree with Enia, I also wonder if Meg and Charles Wallace will go out with the guy they met it thw woods.

    ReplyDelete
  46. 4. I can relate to charles wallace because when I get around people I don't really like or don't know, I sort of act like I don't understand what is going on.

    ReplyDelete
  47. 5. I really don't think of anything strange

    ReplyDelete
  48. I agree with Serenity on Meg and her brither being different nobody is all the same so be who you are even if everyone else doesn't like it.Do what you fo if it satisfies you.

    ReplyDelete
  49. If you heard that someone was making fun of your brother and sister and you were fed up for the day and could not take any more would you throw your books down and fight like Meg or peacfully walked home.
Personaly I know how OI was feeling that day would effect my mood so I probably would have fought.

    ReplyDelete
  50. 1. Meg feels that she doesn't belong and that she is a piece of dirt and isn't needed. I never felt like Meg because I believe I was sent here for a purpose and a reason and I am not just another person that lives on this Earth with human kind.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I agree with Demetris because in chapter 2, it seems as though so many secrets came out and so many people were tied to each secret.

    ReplyDelete
  52. 5) I don't understand how all of the sudden, the five- year old could talk in complete sentences.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Megg feels she is a monster and is weird. I can't relate to her but my friend can, because she thinks she is odd too.

    Amber G

    ReplyDelete
  54. I agree with Kai, I feel instead of discussing about how deep ch. 2 is we should, discuss were her dad could be.

    Amber G

    ReplyDelete
  55. Mrs.Sullivan I thought the steeling sheets part was kind of because Mrs.Whatsit didn't know if the neighbor was going to use them or sell them to others. Also I think she could have asked because the neigbor might have gave them to her for an house warming gift

    Enia G.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Amari Brown

1.Meg feels she is nothing. She feels unfortunate and like noone cares about her. I agree with Enia because thisis basically how she feels, like a monster. Mosters don't care about themselves and are alone.

    ReplyDelete
  57. 5. Well the behavior that seems the stranges is charles wallace behavior. he seemed too nice and like most of the people that seem to be nice aren't as nice as you would imagine. An example is in a Shakespere play i read in 5th grade. the main character Macbeth betrayed his best friend Banquo for his own personal use. I am predicting that Charles Wallace will end up becoming the bad guy in the story.

I agree with amber and nigel said about not relating to Meg.
