Advice I would give to students preparing for college is going to a public school is a bad idea. You should have went to a private school to get a better education and a better grade point average. To be sure your ready for college you should at least have a grade point average of 4.0 if you are in high school. Also you should at least have a B(90%) to get into a good for year college.

Another piece of advice would be to be able to be organized and have everything you need to have for your classes. These students can ensure they are ready for college by checking their GPA and they know what there’re going to be when they get a job, so they can take the right courses. These students need to know a great amount of information for every class they go to so they could succeed in their courses and in life.
ReplyDeleteThe advice I would give to students preparing for college is to not take advantage over college. Some kids think that college will be the same just like high school. I think some kids should spend more time doing something productive to get prepared for college and not always playing video games or whatever other things they do. Many of them should extend their main skills for subjects like reading and math over the summer. They should not be lazy and should listen to everything that needs to be listened to.
ReplyDeleteThe advice that i can give students is that 'you need to keep looking forward beacause if you look back you might get caught up in what you see and you may never be able to return.'I learn that at my old school in african dance class.

If you want to get into a good four year college or university, you have to stay focused always. You can’t ever get lazy. To get a B average or better, you have to listen and do quality work. You should be focused on your education at all times because it’s for you. Students can ensure that they are prepared for college by knowing your GPA. Students should have at least a B average. Knowing your GPA will allow you to assess yourself and see what you can do better your freshman year in college.
ReplyDeleteThe advice that I would give to college students is that you should always study your work.Students go to college because they are seeing what choices are you making.Students should always do their homework and turn it in the next day it is do.College can be tough for most people but the most important rule is to pay attention in class so you can follow the teacher's direction.
ReplyDeleteThe advice i would give to students preparing for college is to always try to get good grades. Also keep your grade point average(GPA)steady because when you have 3.5 one year then the next you get a 1.7 then High school students get disappointed when they dont graduate.High school students should ask advisors for help to choose the right classes for their career choices.
ReplyDeleteI would give students advice to stay out of trouble stop hanging
ReplyDeleteout with the wrong crowd. Get hold of your self and say I need
to get my grades up and ask your teachers what work can you do
to get it up. I would also say start applying into some collages
because I know a lot of you want to go to collage so you need
good grades to go. Student you should look at your grades and if
they are not looking so good try to bring them up and try to start
doing this your junior year of high school because that’s what
collages look at that want to know so just start thinking about it.
Ask your self what great collage do I want to go to you look up the school
You need to see the GPA that is required if you don’t have that you need
to get it by your end of junior year. If you think you can’t get this then
you need to think about perseverance that’s how you will succeed in life
and in modern world because you have to I mean have to stop doubting
your self. That’s wats going to get you in trouble with your grades you
can’t doubt your self.
the advice I would to students is to pay attention at all times. If you need help ask your teacher/professer, that is what they are there for to help you.College is different because you can't slack off.You can't be lazy. College is not for playingor partying ,but it's for preparing you for your future and career.
ReplyDeletethe advice i would give to the student that was going to college, is to study hard and be organized. With your hard work and good studing you will get good grades, so you can be what ever you want to be when you get out of collaee and get a degree to get a job that you worked hard for in school.from matthew
ReplyDeleteThe advice I would give to people who are preparing for college is, always be prepared, stay organized, be on time, stay cautious, and always be joyful. The people who are preparing for college can be ensure that they are prepared for college is make sure that they have all of their materials on time and try to do their best.
ReplyDeleteThe advice I would give is to ask questions if you don't understand. Also I would tell them to read and study whenever you have some free time. They can ensure they're ready for college by going to their teachers and or professors if they don't quite understand. In order to graduate they will need to go by these rules and more to get a good job.
ReplyDeletethe adivice that i will give them is that they need to study every night. they can make sure that they are ready by seeing if they have all the materils.
ReplyDeleteThe advice I would give a high school senior getting ready to go to college is first, some people have this theory that public schools are not "good" schools. Long as you get good grades and have good behaviour, you will stand out and be a top student. Don't be a statistic!
ReplyDeleteI would advise them to focus on their schoolwork and themselves to make sure that they are ready. They need to learn how to study things on their own and have themselves ready on their own. They're going to eventually have to do it anyway, so why not do it now so it wont be such a shock to them.
They must be aware of their GPA if they're planning on going to a good college. Your GPA is one of the most important things in your educational career; it will make you or break you. I would also tell them to remember that having a high GPA and having good behaviour in high school doesn't guarantee that you will have that in college. You will definitely have to work harder and longer.
Lastly, I would remind them not to get caught up in all the benefits of being in college like freedom, independence, and endless numbers of events and parties. It's okay to enjoy these things because that's one of the fun parts of being in college but you still have to keep up with your work, grades, and behaviour and don't do anything you wouldn't normally do.
I agree with everyone above. The advice I would give to the high school students is to mostly worry about your GPA.You shouldn't worry about what college you are going to.Going to a public school in high schoolis even worse.A private school is the best school you could go to before college.Public schools don't teach you as much as you should. To graduate, you need to have a high GPA.Public schools just send you off to college without being well educated.
ReplyDeleteThe advice i would give to high school students is to get all the good grades they can. Also i would tell them to make sure they listen to every thing their teachers say in their senior year.Students will know theyre prepared by their progress at the end of the year and how much their teacher take charge and teach lessons.
ReplyDeleteThe advice that I would give to students is to always stay focused on what you learn everyday. You can never learn too much. I would also say that if you don't ask questions you will never know the answer. You do need a high GPA, and if you don't ask question then you won't learn. You should always stay on task and do what you need to do. Don't worry about what others are doing. Thatis being focused. If you have no idea what your teacher is talking about then just ask for help and pay attention always. You can do anything that you put your mind to.
ReplyDeleteThe advice I would give for the people going to high school is to be aware of their grades in the schools. If private schools can do better than public schools why not just give some of our experienced teaching to brings students GPA higher. If students don’t get higher than a 3.14, they won’t get to graduate into 4 year collages. Also especially when people are in high school they will always have some kind of party and they will be distracted. High school students also don't get enough sleep to get a higher grades in tests.
ReplyDeleteThe advice I would give students preparing for college is to always stay focused and don't think of college like high school because they are two different things but, both should be taken seriously. Also ask your teachers/ professers for help so you won't fai a class because you don't know how to do the work. They can ensure that their prepared because they have to believe that their ready. If they can believe they can achieve!
ReplyDeleteThe advice I would give to a student who is preparing for college is to take school seriously. Students should work hard, do their best, and understand that they are in school studying for their future. Students can ensure they are prepared if they continue to have good study habits and keep a high GPA.
ReplyDeleteThe advice that I would share with a person that is going off to college is to stay in college and don't drop out. I would tell them to get a Masters' or Doctorate degree so that they will have a chance of getting a high society job. Lastly, I would tell them to persevere no matter how hard things get.
ReplyDeleteThe advice I can give to a Hightower school student is to stay calm. I know that these last couple of years are very important and you feel stressed . Always know that if you try your best, that's all you give. Your GPA and grades are what you really need to focus on. Your GPA and grades are what get you in the best colleges possiblle. Also this information stays on your profollie forever. This is what follows you around and determines you are able to get and which can be out of your range. Thus is why you always need to do your best in school and focus on the possessives in life instead of the negatives. Sometimes it may be hard because of the people around you, but you can't let people stop you. Words can't hurt you unless you let them. Another point that I already brought up is college. This is what you are working for. This is your main goal in life. After high school, you just can't stop. You have to keep going to be successful. Your career is your career. You can either make your own career or work for someone or you can just quit . You have to fight for what you want in life. Nothing is just freely handed to you on a silver plater. If you WORK, PLAN, BUILD, and DREAM in that exact order like in our mission statement, you can do anything you put your heart, mind ,and soal to. You just have to BELIEVE!
ReplyDeleteThe advice would you give to students who are preparing for college will be DO ALL YOUR HOMEWORK!!! That the first thing. Next if you don’t like your teacher because of some you did or her.
ReplyDeleteThat does not give you an excuse to not do well in her or his class. My best advice for juniors about to plunge into not only the world of a high school senior but also the world of preparing for college is to take initiative. I am very particular about where and when I study. I find it more comforting when I am studying in a clean and comfortable spot. I find it best to study between late afternoon and evening. I can't stand much background noise so I usually study in my bedroom with the door closed and the window open for a nice breeze to come through. I do believe that a breath of fresh air can clear your mind. A few study habits that work well for me are re-reading notes, typing them into a Word document, making flash cards, or participating in a study group so one can obtain feedback from other individuals. I think you should too. Or you may have other study habit. A strong performance on standardized tests also helps students convince colleges that they are ready for the challenge. Choosing Courses to Prepare for College was produced by a Faculty committee. Choosing Courses offers our best advice for students preparing for liberal arts colleges with high academic demands. A good high school education should do more than prepare you for the next level of education or for later employment – it should prepare you to take advantage of future learning opportunities of all kinds. To this end, an academic program in high school should equip you with particular skills and information and should also impart a broad perspective on the world and its possibilities.
Advice that would for a student preparing for college is to always have good GPA. The highest GPA you can get is a 4.0. Also try to go to a good high school so you can receive a good education. The college student should always be organized and prepared for class. You should have a GPA in high school if you want to get into a good college. Before you go to must take your ACT test. Try to some extra ACT classes so you’ll have an excellent test score or just an ACT tutor.
ReplyDeleteI think that all students should be objected to take college prep classes. I a lso agree with Ariana in a video nwhen she says that mentorship programs should be provided to the incoming college freshman. Another way to help them is to have the highschool students to talk to a college student about the college experience.I disagree with the students that say everyone should go to a private school because not every family can afford it or have the money to travel to a private school because public schools are closer to your homes.
ReplyDeleteI would say to ask someone about college and what it does so that they already know what expect. Then study for it so if they
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kyla, I also think that students going to college should take college prep classses so they can know what to expect when they get to collage. With this class they should feel more prepared for college. I wold tell the students to make a check list of what they would think would happen in collage this is what I did to get prepaired for middle school and I feel that if that helped me it should help them.
ReplyDeleteThe advice that I would give to students preparing for college is that you shouldn't take advantage of going to college.I would also say that you should make sure that you have everything.I would also say that you should do all of the assignments that they give you.you should also have a great grade point average.Another piece of advice I would give you is to stay focus and listen to everything the teachers tell you to do.I would also give you the advice to stay awake in class and don't fall asleep.
ReplyDeleteThe advice I would say to the students who are preparing for college is don`t party just study because most students get kick out of college because of bad grades.I suggest studing in a group because studying by your self will drift that person to sleepand willn`t be ready for the giant test they have to take. How students can ensure that they are ready for college by studying, and get a good education by being successful growing up from a young man or woman.
ReplyDeleteThe advice I would give is to get a tutor and also to get one binder that you can carry all your stuff in to class and get more organized. You can also work out a schedule.
ReplyDeleteMy advice to students is that you all should listen, learn, and participate. These skills will help you acomplish goals in your life. No matter what place you are at you will have to use these paticular skills, probly even more! One way you can ensure you're ready for collage is that you can test your skills and see where you are. If you feel fustrated, have a tutor or a study group help you with it. It is always good to find help sometimes so you can know what you're doing next time.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kyla because if you talk to college students, they will give you advice on how to survive your freshman year of college. I also agree with her when she said that high school students are objected to take college prep classes because those classes will give you a glimpse of what you will learn your freshman year of college.
ReplyDeleteThe advice I would give to studnets that are preparing for college is try to keep good grades in all classes. Also make sure they are keeping up with their classes to maintain good grades and have good study habits. The students can ensure they are ready by passing all classes and keeping at least a 3.0 GPA or higher in High school and get tutoring when needed.
